We should always think before you act to prevent unwanted consequences. If you don't think before you act, you may realize that you did not really want to do what you did. Take time to consider what will happen if you do it, and often times you won't!
Thinking is always good. What about rethinking about life and taking actions accordingly?
Posts from Quora about why we should rethink about life and our choices:
Rethinking and examining life should be done everyday, all the time. If we are not actively meditating or rethinking about our life, it is helpful for us to keep that thought in the back of our subconscious mind. Most of humans’ consciousness are incredibly constricted. It is limited to their individual world of experiences and perceptions which is incredibly narrow.
There are trillions of galaxies in the universe, each of these galaxies contain trillion and hundred billion of stars, and there are more outside these galaxies and stars that humans are yet to discover. Amongst the countless galaxies and stars, there is earth. On this earth, there are billions of people. Billions of us are living out billions of different ways of the same life.
If we don’t constantly examine and rethink our lives and existence, we will be like hamsters running on wheel and spending our entire life devoiding of other possibilities of existence, pursuing after same things, making same mistakes, and before we know it, our life is over.
We are not only humans on earth. We are part of the existence, of this universe. We have much more than the reality called life. So examine and expand your mind and views.
Daily. Why waste a single day heading in the wrong direction. Most mistakes in my life have been waiting to make changes - sometimes waiting for many years.
You do not have to spend a ton of time daily, pick a quiet time where you have a few alone minutes: first waking up, just before going to sleep (my fav). Then go through something like I do: happy? healthy? feeling fulfilled? looking forward to tomorrow - next year? Address the no’s and reflect where you are on getting better. If you have no plan on getting better then make one TODAY.
Best wishes for the best life you can have.

Has anyone considered the best times of these characters' lives are shown in flashes and the most traumatic times are shown in real-time? For me, this makes me realize how precious the good times in our lives are and how we too often fixate on what has gone wrong in our lives. Life is too short, appreciate whats makes you happy. This is what life is all about.
Lesbian girl wants to get rid of the shame by killing her friend. The girl on the rails wants to end her life and get rid of the suffering, but the desire to survive defeats the heart of wanting to die. The old man left his white horse, and climbed the mountain alone, to fight off the age that’s getting to him. The poor guy who was protecting the neighbors fought off the fear and held the gun. The robber failed to steal and was rethinking about life and choices. They are all resisting, resisting fate, and at this moment they are beautiful. Live in the moment, because we’re beautiful now.
Cheers to everyone dealing with their own struggles
Those of you who don't know the meaning of this video song, then here it is (source - Wikipedia)The video intertwines five different stories together. The first is of a woman who supposedly drowned her female lover in a pool; the second involves an elderly Central American man who is journeying on an unsuccessful mountain climbing attempt; the third involves the son of a man whose home is invaded by armed robbers; the fourth involves Zedd portraying a liquor store robber who becomes hostile with the management; and the fifth depicts a distraught girl laying down on a railroad. As the song progresses, the video intercuts to scenes of family happiness, good times with friends, dancing and rejoicing before concluding the five stories. The first woman's lover is pulled from the water before drowning, and the ex realizes the gravity of the situation; the old man attempts to climb the mountain and falls, but survives, without reaching the summit; The armed robbery victim's son confronts the hostiles at gunpoint and subdues them; Zedd's character reflects over what sunk him to his current point in life and seems to change his ways; the suicidal girl is missed by the train and reflects on her life and why she chose such an extreme act. All five people in the stories see themselves in a reflection in various surfaces as their stories are closed and they all resolve to be better people!
