Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Official Video)

For anyone wondering, this song is an interpretation of King Louis XVI's lost final speech before his death following the French Revolution. It's written in Louis' point of view as he apologizes to his people and accepts his demise. For some background, Louis was imprisoned and publicly executed by his own people following his downfall. When he was marched to the guillotine for execution he attempted to give one last speech to his people before his death, but the French revolutionists booed and the executioners drums were played louder to drown out the sounds of his words. As so, before Louis could finish his speech he was forced into the guillotine and beheaded, his final words now lost forever.

This song make me cry this is a masterpiece

A long long time ago, when I was in middle school I used to listen to Coldplay now and then. This was my absolute favorite. During this time, in the music class the teacher asked me to pick a song and play it from the board and I picked this naturally. No one literally cared and talked to each other while the song was playing and the teacher eventually also gave up. One of the girls actually noticed the song and made a comment on it "Ugh, couldn't you have picked a better Coldplay song ?" I couldn't say anything. I felt really bad, thinking I had a bad music taste. It was not the case, I'm proud I listen to Coldplay. You too, be proud in whatever you do and don't give a damn about what others think!

One of the most joyful Pop songs written ever since the Beatles' Penny Lane, or Strawberry Fields Forever. This is pure British sweetness.
